How We Approach Retirement Education and Source Review
Retirement, tax, Social Security, healthcare and Medicare information can affect major financial decisions. Our website is designed to make sources, limitations and review dates easier to see.
Primary sources first
When a page explains a federal retirement, Social Security, Medicare or Marketplace rule, our content standard is to prioritize primary public sources such as the IRS, Social Security Administration, Medicare/CMS, HealthCare.gov and other relevant government or regulatory sources. Important rule-based pages include links to those sources so readers can verify the underlying guidance.
Date time-sensitive information
Rules, thresholds, premiums, tax limits and enrollment provisions can change. Educational pages show when source material was checked and avoid turning annual figures into undated evergreen claims. Time-sensitive pages are rechecked before publication, whenever facts change and periodically, with Medicare material reviewed each plan year, and whenever a material rule changes.
Separate education from individual advice
A website article can explain choices and tradeoffs. It cannot determine what is suitable or appropriate for a particular household without understanding that household's facts. Our educational content is therefore designed to use words such as “consider,” “compare,” “may” and “evaluate” where individual circumstances matter.
Balanced treatment of retirement decisions
Our content standard is not to assume that an IRA rollover, Roth conversion, Social Security claiming age, Medicare coverage structure or particular investment approach is universally superior. Decision pages identify meaningful advantages, limitations and questions to verify before implementation.
Compliance and professional review
Firm-specific claims, registrations, licenses, advisory affiliations, insurance and Medicare marketing statements, and calls to action are reviewed and approved by Eddie Valdes for business facts and presentation; advisory materials follow TLG Advisors’ required review, and insurance and Medicare material receives the applicable review, before publication. The “sources reviewed” date on an educational page records the research date; it should not be interpreted as a substitute for individualized professional advice or as a representation that a regulator has approved the content.
Corrections and updates
If you believe an educational page contains outdated or unclear information, contact Strong Tower Advisors and identify the page and issue. Material corrections should update the page and its review date.
